
Researchers at Swinburne University of Technology in Australia has developed a new multilayer optical storage that can hold 1.1TB/cm3 of data. So in theory that enables them to put 300 DVDs worth of data onto a single disc.
The researchers are confident these could be commercially available in the next 5 – 10 years.
