Bee.One Electric Car

Bee the British automotive start-up is building a four-seat “Bee.One.” The plan is for the Bee.One to the be United Kingdoms most affordable electric car.
Currently the concept is just on paper. Actually being able to produce the car at the targeted price will definitely be a challenge. The car will have a top speed of 80 miles per hour, with a maximum range of 200 miles. The One will have two batteries in the floor and will be easy to swap out. The One will also have a constant 3G connection. This will allow for system software monitoring and updates.
The pricepoint will likely be $17,700 minus a British government rebate of $7,400. Production is planned to start in 2011 with an initial run of 12,000 cars.
